What’s Covered

Your ODYSSEY battery will be approved for warranty replacement if:

  • The battery is within its coverage period for the intended application.

  • Proof of purchase (receipt or valid date code) is provided.

  • Standard testing confirms failure due to manufacturing defect after proper charging.

  • Application and installation match manufacturer guidelines.

What’s Not Covered

A battery will not be approved for warranty if the failure is due to:

  • Normal end-of-life (capacity loss from regular use).

  • Over-discharge, parasitic drain, or long storage without charging.

  • Overcharging or alternator output out of specification.

  • Incorrect application or undersized battery.

  • Physical damage, tampering, missing or altered date codes.

  • Failures caused by a system-level fault (vehicle/equipment issue).

  • Purchases from unauthorized sellers, auction sites, or liquidators.

Warranty Claim Process

To submit an ODYSSEY warranty claim:

  1. Return the physical battery to West Coast Batteries or an authorized reseller.

  2. Provide proof of purchase (receipt or invoice) or allow validation by battery date code.

  3. The battery will be tested using an industry-standard conductance/resistance test (Midtronics or DHC) under the TPPL setting.

  4. WCB will complete all required EnerSys warranty paperwork and include test results and photos.

  5. If EnerSys approves the claim, a replacement battery will be issued.
