When This Service Applies
This policy applies when you request replacement batteries before warranty testing is completed.
If you prefer not to incur upfront charges, you may use the standard manufacturer warranty process, where batteries are tested prior to replacement.

How the Advanced Replacement Process Works
- You request Advanced Battery Replacement for batteries you believe are under warranty
- Replacement battery(ies) are issued prior to testing
- You are billed up front for the replacement battery(ies)
- Returned battery(ies) are provided to West Coast Batteries for testing
- Returned battery(ies) are tested using manufacturer-approved procedures
- We provide you with test results and a warranty determination

What Happens After Testing (Per Battery)
If the Battery Qualifies for Warranty
- The battery is confirmed defective under manufacturer warranty
- You receive a full credit for the replacement battery

If the Battery Does NOT Qualify for Warranty
- You keep and pay for the replacement battery
- No credit is issued for the returned battery

Battery Rescue Option (Non-Warrantable Batteries)
If a returned battery does not qualify for warranty but can be restored, you may choose one of the following options:
Option A — Battery Rescue
- Pay a $20 battery rescue fee
- We recharge and refurbish the battery
- The refurbished battery is returned to you
Option B — Decline Battery Rescue
- West Coast Batteries retains and disposes of the returned battery
